    Father abandonment laws?
    My daughter katie is 15 months old and her father hasn't been in her life since she was 3 weeks old and refuses to help in Texas is this a long enough time to consider that abandonment?

    Have you went to court to file for custody ? Have you filed for child support yet from the father.

    This all effects things.
