    Confused about my cousins proposal?
    Hey I'm 21 year old muslim girl... and recently got a proposal from my first cousin... I'm really confused if I should accept the proposal as I never really thought of this... and I use to treat him like a brother... plus I think that it ll be quite awkward... marraying a first cousin... please tell me what should I do.. confused girl

    Well if you are US Citizens, it is against the law. It is considered incest.

    Actually Handyman you are wrong, sorry, first there is no US law on marriage, and over 1/2 of the US states allow first cousins to marry now.

    Most of the medical proof of any gene damage has been found to be very low risk and religious issues no long have the legal status it used to.

    For the OP, first where are you at, I know it is a more common custon in some areas for family to marry within families, Next has he spoken to your father and family about this, ( if that is also your customs)
