    2001 Ford Windstar keeps dying
My van with @121,000 miles will die while driving down the road. We've always had trouble with the ck engine light staying on(been repaired twice). Periodically the abs light comes on and goes off. The fuel mileage has always been horrible(13-15 in town and on highway). Could this be a fuel line/filter/pump problem? Even though it gives me fits, it's paid for and I don't want to replace it anytime soon.

    . Check for codes.

. Replace the fuel filter. Ford recommends doing this every 30,000 miles.

. Replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor and Camshaft Position Sensor, if the problem persists.

What repairs have been made? Is there any smoke from the tailpipe? An ABS light would not affect the engine preformance. Codes for the engine would be stored for a while even if the light went off
