    Cooking and cups?
    when it says in a cooking recipy 1 cup of flour how much is 1 cup?

    Use a dry measure cup (not the liquid measure one), scoop the flour out of the bag or canister, DO NOT pack it down but simply scrape off excess across the top with a table knife.

    I think a cup is 240-250 Ml in one cup, or 8 ounces.

    I think that's what the OP was asking, at least that was my take on it.

    I was thinking that too, Bella, so thanks for adding that information -- but dry measure, not liquid. There is a slight difference and can affect the recipe. And I know people who have packed down the flour and then wonder what happened.
