Kitchen sink won't drain, but everything else in house drains fine.
I have a double basin sink in my kitchen. One side is a garbage disposal and the other just a sink basin. The other night I placed some old spagetti in the disposal and let it go to work. Now the sink will not drain. When I fill it with water it drains a little on the basin only side and then starts to fill up the disposal side. I have used draino, a more powerful substance that contains some kind of acid in it, and I have had a guy come out and route the line several times. He then told me that there is nothing he can do for me and was done. The kitchen sink still won't drain, but everything else in the house works and drains just fine (laundry, toilets, and bathtub) except the dish washer of course. That doesn't drain either. What can I do next? I would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. I'm afraid I will have to pay big money to have the pipes dug up and replaced.

Before you do all that digging and replacing let's see if we can't clear your sink. I DO NOT recommend using ANY CHEMICALS or ACID In your drainage. It's a dangerous practice and could blind you if any got into your eyes.
I have had a guy come out and route the line several times. He then told me that there is nothing he can do for me and was done.
Please explain, in detail, exactly what this guy did. Did he snake from the roof vent? What type of snake did he use? Let's check if the line in the wall is open. Take a ladder and go up to the kitchen roof vent and drop a small stone down it. If you hear a splash then the clog is farther down and you will have to snake from the vent so let me know. Good luck, Tom
