    Hampton bay remote receiver
We just installed a receiver box on our fan. Everything works except we can not get the remote to work with the lights, it only work with the fan. What do we need to do? I know some wires must not be where they need to be

If you installed the correct receiver it would have four wires coming out to the fan. White is neutral and common to fan and light. Black is hot to fan. Blue is hot to light kit and green or bare is ground. Is this what you saw coming out of the receiver?

We also have a orange for the up light which we connected to the hot also with the blue. We had to buy a replacement receiver because the other one went out but we have the same remote. The remote works the fan but do not work the light.

One side has a black, blue, white and orange. The other side has a black and blue. We connected the white to whithe and the black, blue and orange all together to the hot wire. Is there something we are doing wrong or do we have to buy another remote

OK the side with only black and white is your side feeding power to the receiver, input. The other side with 4 wires is output. White-neutral, black-hot to fan, blue - hot to light kit. Orange? Not seen orange but the only thing missing is ground which is normally green or bare. Can you tell me the model receiver you installed, did it come with a new transmiter?

Sorry I do have a green for the ground. The orange is on the same side with the other 3 wires. This hamptom bay fan has a upling and a down light. The blue is the up and the orange is the down. The orange will connect just like the blue. Everything is working but I can only control the fan with the remote and not the lights. So I am guessing the remote for the lights is wired wrong so can you help me

The yellow covered remote control receiver in the fan box is simply too big to fit in the decorative mounting bracket cover. The directions mention a receiver mounting bracket, that was not there, and wouldn't have fit inside either. Anyone had to deal with this yet? Instructions attached. Jim
