Dragon and little boy - late 80's or early 90's
I'm looking for a movie with a dragon or other flying creature and a little boy. All I really remember is at the end the boy is saying goodbye to his dragon friend. I can not find any movies that seem like the one I am thinking of but it has been so long I have really no idea but if anyone could help I would apreciate it. Thanks

I remember a child with a dinosaur or Dragon, I really think it's a dragon. So the dragon flies over a field, high up, over the hills etc. there are fences... I think a train also is around. The dragon lives in a cave. A boy flies with him there I think. I don't remember much but I've been looking...
When I was little I remember watching a movie about a bear (I think) finding a egg, brought it home and the egghatched,and turned into a dragon. I remember one of the main caricters locking the dragon in a room while a part was going on and the dragon getting mad and growing and crashing the party....
So my husband remembers this movie pretty vivdly from when he was a kid and I only have vague recollections. He swears the little boy is about 10yrs. Old and black. We know he is running from bad guys who are trying to get him for some reason. I kind of remember something about him stealing...
Can't think of this show... about waitresses who worked in a "skytop" restaurant... an annoying piano player, one waitress was named crystal
