In 2009 I received my portion of the settlement minus 6000 to pay medical bills. My medical bills are 3375.00. I called my attorney he told me he talked to them several days ago 11/1/2011 to try an negotiate a lower number to settle medical bills. I then called san francisco general hospital myself the collections dept said last time they talk to him was 01/15-17/2011. He hasn't accepted my call since.

So get proof that the insurance sent him payment, get copies of the check they paid him with.

Write him and demand he either pay them, or forward the money to you for you to pay him, give him a time frame of perhaps 10 days. If he does not, file a complaint with the state Bar against him, and if needed sue him for damages, you will have damages to your credit, additional late fees normally and other costs.
