Trying to get rid of black hair!
Help me please! I have always loved changing my hair color and usually go to nice salons. I am naturally a med brown. I take very good care of my hair and I am in the process of letting it grow long!
I went black around November 2006... I loved and got a lot of compliments. I am sick of it now, epically with spring coming! My roots are about 3 1/2 inches long, and the top part of my head is brown. But bottom (which is 6in long) is black. I tried dying it a dark brown... but that made it look worse!
I am not totally against beaching it... I would really rather do it at home. With the color Zap... I have never used; but willing to try it out! Any comments on that would be great also!!

I will not cut my hair... and I am scared of stripping it... but it looks awful! Please any help would be soooo appreciated!
    Thank you, ~Tina

Oh dear! I know it sucks but you are best to go to a salon to get rid of the black. If you bleach it or go lighter, your hair will turn green. I'm not kidding... personal experience. Go to magic cuts or something... ha ha

I'm suffering from exactly the same problem! I dyed my hair jet black for a whole year-full head! I regret it so much now and my roots are about three inches long too. I really wouldn't advise colour stipping or bleaching your hair as you'll most likely go orange(yeah, not ginger - orange!) I heard somewhere that washing your hair in fairy liquid can help fade the dark dye. I've never tried it myself but I know that a trip to the salon every six to eight weeks to remove the dead ends and thin the hair will help quite a lot. It allows more of your natural colour to reappear underneath the top layers. Straightening also makes the dark dye fade. Hope this helps.x.
