    Toilet too far from wall?
I have a powder room with a 14" rough in. I bought a America Standard Cadet 3 w/ a 14" rough in. On instalation the tank was 3 inches from the wall. Not sure why this happened and don't know if there is anything that we can do or use to move the toilet back 2-3 inches.
Appreciate any help that you can give me

    Hi Hhic55

Yeah, we are having a lot of trouble with this kind of stuff lately... UGH!

Did you buy the tank and bowl separate? If so, you may have gotten the wrong toilet tank, but even if you did you may still see 2 inches between the wall and the toilet tank when you are done.

One option is to call American Standard on Monday and make sure that you got the right tank with the toilet. If you did get the right tank with the toilet then the only other option is to see if you can install an OFFSET FLANGE into the drain pipe (see image). Note here, that this is a bit of work and can usually only offset an 1.5" back, unless you can find a 2" offset flange in your area or online (these are real hard to find).

    Back to you...
