After water has been shut off in kitchen sink, there is a continuous dripping for about two or three minutes in the drain pipes. It seems to happen only in the winter.

I wanted to replace taps and spout in the kitchen with a mixer but don't have the correct tools to finish the job. I put the old taps back together but now they won't turn on or off any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

After washing dinner dishes and running garbage disposal... basement drain overflowed with bits of dinner present. This drain has always had water in it, but never to the top. Now, flooding with use of kitchen sink/disposal. Thanks, kay111
