I changed my dryer thermostat (L248-80F) with a L250-40F and now it won't run.
I changed my thermostat (L248-80F) with a L250-40F and now it won't run. It ran before with the old one but just didn't heat up. Apparently the new thermostat caused some damage but I don't know what kind of damage. Why would it stop running now with the new one? The model is a magic chef model number is YE205KV.

I changed my thermostat now only hot air comes out. I checked and checked the colors of wires and made sure they are in the right spot. Every time I turn it to cool it blows heat (heat that smells like heat). Please help it's hot!
