My boyfriend and I have been together for over one year. We love each other to bits. He's sweet, kind and couldn't express his love for me more, but he is very jealous. He knows I think he is overly jealous so tries not to annoy me by telling me when he is. I have told him that I will never love any other guy the way that I love him but I still want to have good friendships with guys. We have talked about his jealousy before and he knows that he can go a bit over the top. He doesn't even trust his friends around me alone, even though he trusts me. How can I get him to see that there's no need to be so jealous?

Jealousy stems from lack of trust. I'm sure you've done nothing to make him feel this way, but he's most likely been hurt in the past. He may trust YOU, but not other people. I.E; his friends making a move on you etc. There isn't anything in particular you can do, unless you're cheating on him. He needs to sort this out himself.

In some cases, jealousy fades when the trust builds in relationships. (So, the longer you've been together and he's able to see you're faithful and truthful, the less reason he HAS to be jealous.) In rarer cases, these people need to be alone to 'heal' themselves.
