How do I know if I have giardiasis?

I might have giardiasis (an infection of the small intestine that is caused by the parasite Giardia intestinalis it can come in the form of a cysts) I have all the symptoms, I have been for a blood test and an ultrasound and they were both clear, would a cyst on my small intestine show up in the tests? Has any one had it before? How do you get rid of it? I'm going back to the doctors tomorrow. Thanks for your help

To find out if you have this, you go to the doctor, he does a stool sample and sends it off to a lab for testing.
