    Landline phone repairs?
The answering part of the phone is very muffled on an at&t phone.
Is there a way to repair that?

If it has a manual ringer there should be an adjustment wheel on it.

If it has a tape then replace the tape. If its digital then it just may be time for a new one.

If tape, you may be able to clean the head with Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-tip.
