    Identity Theft help
I was a victim of identity theft when I was about 17 years old. Credit cards were acquired in my name. I've been trying to remove traces of this for over 10 years with no resolve, is there a way to remove such items once and for all?

Also some of the collection agencies for these companies still call and refused to help remove this. Can I be held accountable for accounts opened when I was a minor anyway?

Do you have police reports showing you reported the thefts? If so, then you show them to the credit bureaus and tell them to remove the entries.

If any creditors contact you, you tell them to only contact you by mail and then you send them copies of the police reports with a letter to stop contacting you.
