Cartoon from late 70s early 80s with an intro of a girl coming out of a flower

Would anyone be able to figure this one out? I remember an old cartoon from the late 70s to early-mid 80s. I remember some girl (possibly a princess) who would emerge from a flower during the intro of this anime/cartoon series? Does this ring a bell for anyone at all? I'm stumped. My husband thinks I'm making it up.
