I am four teen and gay and need some helpful advice
I'm 14 years old and gay I'm not out although 2 of my close friends know. I am very nervous of telling my parents because I don't get on with my dad. I want to tell my friends but it's really hard to because I don't want everyone at school finding out, I feel that it is right to tell my parents first and also there is this annoying homophobic kid who hangs around near us. I kind of want a boyfriend to share experiences with but I don't know what to do about it. I am attracted to one of my close friends who is bi but Im scared that if it goes wrong it would ruin our friendship. I am quite shy and don't consider myself attractive so I don't know how to approach someone. Also I am worried about telling one of my best friends who is quite homophobic (although I don't hold this against him because he has had a hard life and his own father was bi and eloped to Malta leaving him and his mum to fend for themselves). I am new to the idea of accepting that I am gay and considering myself homosexual but have known in some ways since I was around 12.

As you can see I really need some helpful advice please help

When you tell your parents, confirm with them that you feel you need their support.

Just remember, only come out when you feel you're ready.

Keep in mind that decisions and statements you make now will follow you pretty much for the rest of your life. I would tell your parents first. I would see no need to tell anyone else OTHER than someone you are involved with. I would see no reason to tell people you are straight; therefore, I see no reason to tell them you are gay.

Well.. don't just go out to friends and say your gay just be yourself. And if anyone asks if your gay just be honest and if they dissagree with you then they are not true friends and for your parents just find the right place and time to tell them I'm sure they will understand
