My hp photosmart c4780 won't scan or copy-images print solid colors
When you scan or copy an image or document the image prints all balck if black/white was selected or all purple if color was selected. It prints documents or images from the printer just fine and it used to have no problems scanning or copying images.

My HP Photosmart C4780 does not print or scan. When I try to copy a document I get a print out of colorful vertical lines. When I scan a document I get the same result, the document is a picture of colorful vertical lines. However, my printer prints out documents just fine.

Anytime I try to print a spreadsheet it works. But when I try to print anything else it comes out blurry. What could be causing this?
