Are you saying you meet IRS guidelines for supporting your father and grandmother and plan to use them as dependents on your tax return?

How much you are to pay, depends on how much you earned, if you earned 200,000 then 4.5 thousand is not very much, if you earned 25,000 it is a lot.

I earned 20k so far... I won't go over 25k... there is no way. 23k max.

They don't act as your dependents - they either meet the IRS criteria or they do not.

Here are the requirements:

Not a qualifying child - The dependent cannot be a qualifying dependent of another taxpayer.

Gross Income – The dependent earns less than the personal exemption amount, which is $3,650.

Total Support – You provide more than half of the dependent's total support during the year.

Relationship – You are a blood relative.

If the dependent is married, the dependent cannot file a joint return with his or her spouse.

Citizenship – The dependent must be a citizen or resident alien of the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Neither has to live with you, but you MUST provide more than HALF of their total support. The burden of proof for that is on YOU and, given your income level, that MAY be rather hard to prove.
