My 14 year old hit me.
I am a single mom with a 14 year old boy, he is 5 foot 10 and is 240 pounds and I am a small frame woman. He is very verbally abusive and is getting more and more physically abusive. He was arrested for hitting me and still has no remorse for any action. He is having school problems and is starting to hang out with the wrong crowd and I have no control over him. He will not listen to anyone and now none of our family will help cause he is so mean and they've washed their hands of him cause he will not respond respectfully. He is rude and thinks he can treat others any way he sees fit. He leaves the house without permission, he tells me he is old enough to do whatever he wants to do, anything I try to do to make him mind he gets more and more aggressive and disrespectful. I don't know what else to do, we've done counseling and thearapy and meds. Nothing seems to help, he just keeps getting more and more angry. I'm tired of getting cussed out every day all day long.

Go to Court, get him declared a minor in need of supervision (or whatever it's called in your area) and place him in the care/custody of the County or State.
Now is the time for tough love - and that means having him live somewhere else.
The first time he hit me he would have been out of the house.

I understand you are a single mother, but where is his father? Does he have a role in the child's life?

It's the court case closed? If not speak to the judge, or the State prosecutor to see if you can put him in a program. I know what you are going through, I was in the same situation. See who he's friends are, and if you notice they are braking the law call the police on them, and talk to the police officer and let him know what you are going through and see if he can make his presence more often in the neighborhood. I wish you the best

If the court case is open, it should be done in Juv Court or
Family court, the officer of the court has many names, but often he will do back ground checks, family interveiws and more.
See if the court will send him to boot camp then put him on probation, if he will not obey you after boot camp you report him and they lock him up in Juv if the father does not take him.
