    How should I answer this?
I have the same question, but the application is worded as such: During the past 7 years, have you ever been convicted of, or plead guilty or nolo contendre to any crime? I plead guilty to a misdemeanor wreckless driving, but no felony. Can someone help me out with this?

Is reckless driving in your state a crime ? I know here reckless driving falls under the driving rules and are not really treated as a crime, they even come up different in searches.
They show up under driving violations, not criminal.

But in doubt, ask the company how a traffic offence is treated. Most companies have HR departments that should help with an answer to their applications

I think what the question was asking concerned crimes that would be punishable with jail time. The wreckless driving is a traffic infraction and it is not punishable by jail time so you would be able to say "No" to this question.

In NY reckless driving is a misdemeanor. In NY regardless of sentence even if no jail or fine the applicant has to check "yes" because it a misdemeanor

What state was the OP convicted in?
