    Concrete won't harden properly
I hired someone to place the concrete for my new front porch. The mix seemed too wet when they were pumping it in to the forms, and now it won't harden completely, even after two weeks. They didn't do slump tests. I want to have it removed and replaced, as I am unwilling to continue building on top of a suspicious base. What are my options?

Complain to them and have them do it right. You should have brought it to their attention 48-72 hours after it was done.

And don't pay them (unless you have already) until they correct the issue.

If they don't correct the issue, register complaints with the BBB and the State Attorney General.

If those remedies don't work, small claims court may be the way to go with pursuing the issue.
