    Children's show from 70's/80's
I have been searching for a children's TV show from the late 70's or early 80's. I think it was hosted by a man, and he would do different projects with kids and their parents. At the end of every show the parents would sit with their kids and sing this song:
"Hold me in your arms, or just take my hand. Look in my eyes we both understand. Sharing is love, and caring are we. A smile and a touch means we're so glad to be. Loving together, living together. They'll be so much we can share. Loving together."

If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Someone posted an answer to this same question on Yahoo about 4 years ago (maybe yours?). They said "The Homemaking Cottage". I couldn't find much on it.

Thank you for your help. I'm not sure if that's the right show, because I couldn't find anything on it at all. I wish there was a clip I could watch to see if that was correct. It wasn't my question on Yahoo, but it's nice to know someone else was wondering as well. Thanks again. :)

The show is called "You and Me Kid" with Sonny Melendrez.

I'm looking for a video clip of this song too.

Oh my god that's it!! Thank you two so very much! I have been looking for the answer to that question for years. The ending song is something my mom sang to me a lot when I was little, and it's a special memory I have of her. It's nice to know where it came from. I haven't found a clip of the song yet, but perhaps I can get a copy on eBay. Thank you again! :-)

I think I found the clip of the ending for you... in the closing the host talks about wanting input from the viewers, and then they sing the song you mentioned...

I used to sing that song for my son and would love to get a recording for him (he remembers it) so he can sing it to his children now.

Hi, there was a children's movie I used to love either from late 1978,79 or early 80's. The characters sort of looked like anime characters. From what I can remember there was a young girl that was taken by some evil witch type of woman to a very dark castle world. The little girl looked like a...

Name of a Children's show.late 70's/early 80's? [ 6 Answers ]

This is going to be a very vague description of a small part of an animated children's TV movie/series of sorts (I can't even remember if it was a movie or just a cartoon short). I remember watching this sometime in the early 80's... '83 or '84 probably, on regular old TV: no cable. All I can...
