    Natural gas smell
    Hi there,

For awhile now, whenever we are doing laundry or when the furnace first kicks on we can smell a strong natural gas smell outside near the exhaust. Never inside.

The gas company came out and said there was no leak and it is normal to smell the odor from time to time under these circumstances.

Does that sound right? I'm still a bit worried.

    Thanks!

The inducer assembly is designed to come on very first thing and blow out/ get rid of any excess gas that might be in the heat exchanger,, sounds like its doing its job.
