Question: due to lack of family assistance with my two kids I had to move out of VA and because I did so my ex filed for custody of my one year old daughter and even though I have a better job I am a fit mother I'm stable and have another child they granted him custody. He's been in and out of jail was on probation for 8 years and now he has my daughter. I am suppose to pay child support and pick her up once for two weeks out of the summer, this is breaking
Y five year olds heart that her sister is not here, how do I get her back or give up my rights?

I felt that the guardium ad lidum for my daughter was very bias towards me because I made my decision to leave the state for both my girl. To her she said I should have stayed even though my ex can't even drive and won't help with my other daughter. Like she said the state doesn't care about the other child just the one at hand and that I needed a more valid reason for leaving. Please help me?

If your ex had visitation rights and you left the state in violation of that order, I'm not surprised the court ruled against you.

If you had gone to the court for permission to move first, it might have been different. Did you have an attorney? If not, get one or get a new one to advise on trying again.
