My story is somewhat common. I am studying in final year of engg. There is one girl in 3rd year from our department only. I like her very much. I just can't take my eyes off her whenever I see her. Also I have caught her looking at me many times. But yet we haven't talked with each other, rather yet we are not introduced with each other. Today I decided to talk with her and express my feelings but I don't know what happened to me. I was very afraid to go and talk to her. Then I thought our exams going to start from next month, so I don't wanted to disturb her and decided to express my feelings after exams meaning next month. But I am still afraid how to start. Please can anyone help me? So I can talk to her and express my feelings.

You need to hold back on expressing feelings, and just talk to her about school, life, the weather, books, food, music, etc. Plan a few sentences to start with, and talk to her after a class in which you are both rushing away, so that your first encounters are brief. After a few of those, you can say something like 'that is a pretty dress' or 'you look very nice today.' These are the steps people take so that they don't scare someone away at first. When you have the sense that she is glad to see you, ask her to go with you for a daytime tea on campus, or off campus if not too far away. Then that will lead to lunch and a long walk, and so on to dinner and dates in the evening.

Thanks for the advice joypulv. But I am still afraid because we are completely like strangers. I am not getting any point to start with as she is not in my class. Hmm lets see how I can manage that and start it.

Welcome to this beautiful site, first!

I guess you are studying in Panjab University, Chandigarh, even as I might be wrong. I agree with JoyPulv to some extent. But, the main problem, that you are facing, as most of the youngsters face, in the beginning, is to find a chance to be with her, or get close to her, and speak to her. For example, riding the same bus, in which she does, and give her favour by giving her your 'own' seat, and observe her reaction. Or, just befriend someone from her classroom, and then one day, ask her, "Has so-and-so come today?" Just see, if she replies with excitement?
