91 honda accord shutting off while driving
Ok so my honda is acting up she'll just shut off while I'm driving and if I spray starting fluid into the intake then she'll start up just fine but eventually she does it again. I just had the tps and speed sensor fixed about 3 weeks ago but she was doing that before and after they were replaced also this summer the weather was like always in the 90's she wouldn't start at all but that was before I tried the starting fluid... my boyfriend claims to know about hondas but the idiot is not helping! Can someone please help?

Replace his Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, which are located inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM.

The mechanic's diagnosis sure took this in a different direction. Did your Honda previously overheat, since it's the usual cause of blown head gaskets? Overheating frequently causes the head to warp and the valves to get damaged. Make sure they check for this, since it may affect your decision on getting the repairs made. If this is what's wrong, the bill can be steep ($2,500+). Get the estimate in writing upfront.

Well my hopes were high until you said that because recently it just overheated tonight BUT the mechanic didn't say that I needed to replace the head gasket and valve cover I just knew that I needed to for awhile because it has a small oil leak on top where the right bolt that sits on top but then again it doesn't have any coolant in it as well but then again it has been overheating a lot here and there. I also have a tranny fluid leak where the tcl meets the radiator and a diff mechanic told me that there isn't much I could do about it but buy a bigger clamp... I haven't replaced the fuel filter nor any of the other things but I'm starting to wonder if this damn car is even worth my while...
