    Gas furnace cuts off
I have a carrier gas furnace. It starts fine. That is, the inducer motor starts, the igniter glows, the gas comes on and lights, igniter goes off, the air handler starts. Runs for anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Even cycles a few times if house reaches thermostat setting. But eventually, always within 1 hour, it always shuts down and has blinking lights. I can shut power off and reset it or it will reset itself after 3 hours and repeat process. Any help?

Count the times the light on your mother board shows a long light will be a 1,2,3, a fast light will then be the other number. Your panel will tell you what the problem is

The code is 14. Maybe I can give a little more info I got after watching it a little closer. Once the system has shut down and the code 14 is blinking and the system is completely cooled down, If I reset it by shutting off the power, the unit will start and work normally the first cycle. When I watched, the house had cooled to 65 degrees. The thermostat was set on 69. The unit fired up and ran fine until the house reached 69 and the turned off normally. When the dropped back to 68, the inducer came on, the igniter glowed, the gas came on and lit for a few seconds and then shut off. This repeated 3 more times I think then the code started flashing. Thanks, John.

I'm leaning toward a bad stat... remove it and jumper the red and white wire let it run for 15 minutes and then remove the jumper and let it cool down so it completely stops and then jumper it out again after a couple minutes. Let it run for another 15 minutes and repeat two or three times. If the furnace operates properly then replace the stat, if not post back and we will look into other things.
