5 years together and were engaged but were involved in a LDR but we both agreed that we were 100% sure about each other and was planning to move there this years as I was studying.
She left me for stupid reasons and her depression was the major 9 months ago, which I never picked up that she suffered, two days after buying her dress for the engagement party.
Ok I made a few mistakes but not anything dramatic.
Tried to move the earth to get her back, it failed.
I even traveled to her country to give her flowers on her birthday , just to be called selfish...

I have been not contacting her the last 4 months but she always initiated contact, saying I am the man of her life but its too late and she can't find better than me.
She even asked to see me as I was in her home town for work but the dates of me being there and her going abroad , did not match.
I still owe her money which I have offered many times to pay back but she always avoids it.


The last month I had sms and calls which I ignored.
Yesterday I decided to answer to her just to find out she was just wondering how I was.
I was short and firm.
She soon text and started asking how I am.

I said stop text me as I see no point and don't want to be friends.
She said she sees a point and that she likes to know how I am.
I then said that I don't share the same view, as she messed me up and can be friends.

The whole thing changed around when she started saying:
You got a new girl right?
She is there with you.
What is her name?

I replied I don't have a new girl.

She went on to say she does not know why she feels this way.
I left it there.
It's the first time she shows so much interest in my personal life even if I asked her in the past if she was interested to know about my personal life but never got a reply.


Any ideas?

That's why strict No Contact is recommended after a break up. Go back to it. She is doing nothing but keeping you in the friend zone otherwise, and doesn't understand that after a mere 4 months, that's not what you want.

I agree that she is not picking up the signal or maybe she does but the ego is too much to let me go.

Regarding the friends zone, I would not really see it like this, while she is asking who am I dating, its not question you ask your ex, unless you are interested.

No I do not agree that this shows interest. She could just be bored, curious, or just friendly, or in need of some attention. The point is she is the only one to know her true motives.
