    I need a thesis statement for my essay in talking about edgar allan poes moods in...
    In his short stories and poems and we have ti argue whether he is more successful in his use of it in either the poetry or the short stories. And what should I talk about in the first paragraph in my essay?

    Put together several sentences in which you string together, coherently, those ideas: Poe, his poetry, his prose, and his use of mood in both.

    While you are at it, you might want to pay more attention to capitalization and punctuation. Capitalize the first letter of each word which begins a sentence. Also capitalize proper nouns.
