I recovered from my horrible foster parents but should I go back?
Ever since I found out what adoption was I knew I didn't belong. I tried to win my family's love by bieng a straight A student. But they just beat me up and kicked me while I was on the ground. I often cut myself and heavily did drugs. At 12 I found a dance called jerkin. Every day I practiced and practiced, puttung my heart and soul into it.

At 14 I joined and won street dances, making lots of dough. Somehow my parents noticed that my grades were dumbing, so they belted me. As I danced, I got something I never had before. Confidence and self respect.

At 15 I met a man who came to my battles. We became closer and closer every time we met.

At 16 I decided to run away and live with him. He told me to enrol into W.A.A.P.A (Western Australian Acadamy of Performing Arts). There I succeeded and learnt the skills that got me travelling the whole world.

I am 19 now, and last night I asked myself. Should I go see my... Fake parents? And then I asked 'Should I find out who my real ones are?'.

Why would you want to reopen communication with people who treated you so horribly? If you want closure, that's one thing, but I don't see that happening.

If you want to find your "real" parents, sure, locate them and learn the circumstances of your placement.

EDIT: Here you are adopted (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family...ot-600225.html) and on this thread it's foster parents. There's a difference. Which is it?

Your other thread also says that you DID track down your real family and they were "worse" than your foster/adoptive family.

Why are you posting two different versions of your life if you want sincere, honest help? We cannot advise you when we don't know the circumstances.
