It's been 5-6 months and I can't get over my ex boyfriend.
I've tried pretty much everything. I guees I haven't been all that dedicated to it all the time, but I've tried for 5-6 months to get over him and it's (sort of) NOW I just have realised that it won't be us too. Doesn't matter if it's forever or just for the moment we won't work out - I will try to focus on the now and how I feel now.
But I've tried everything, really. Talked to friends, talked with him, ignored him, not spending time with him, therapy, girls night outs, lists of what I can do to make it all feel better and one day get over him. But NOTHING have showed any result. I just mope around at home, being sad. My life is functional, I got friends and school (university) and looking for a job. But I'm sad pretty much ALL the time, I know my friends are getting tired of it. Hell, I KNOW I AM TIRED OF IT.
And NO, I don't want to end my friendship with him. But no it's not getting easier that we share the same friends...
I've done a list of things I can do to make things better, but I don't think I have no hope. All I want is to be completely over him before new year. Hell no that I'll begin 2012 with a depressed and cynical heart.
I see no end to this - anything else I can do than give it all time (even more time, ****)?
Serious answers, thank you <3

I know its hard, uve got yourself into a bit of a rut but even you acknowledge that you are not happy with the current situation. The problem is that you can't seem to shift him because you both have the same friends so are always going to find yourselves at the same nights out etc.
Do you have any friends you get on with who don't hang around him or his group of friends? Seems to me like you need a fresh start. Wipe the slate clean.talk to your close friends and maybe try make more ME TIME, try jam pack your days so you find yourself occupied all day and then by the time you get some down time you will be too tired to even think of him. Get out there and meet new people, university is a great place to start.. get involved in the clubs & socs

Yes dear... I agree with Samm's answer..
I have passed through the same conditions and still I have some streches and it will remain forever as it is... feelings never change but whatever you are doing is really great keep it up and try to come out of it at the earliest..
Try to avid to come in those situation where you had been together and avoid such songs and music and atmoshphere which reminds you of your days spent time together..
The only idea is to keep you busy as much as you can and very soon you will come out of it..
Wish you all the best..

Must be hard while you still see and talk to him a lot. That only serves to keep the feelings stirred up. That's doing it the hard way as some time without seeing him, or having fun without see his friends would help.
But if you insist on staying friends, and keeping him in your life, then healing properly will be even more difficult, and longer.

Here's the good thing.
You've had enough time to realize that its over & done with.
That's a good start.
It takes time. Its different for everyone. But, you are doing the right thing.
"But NOTHING have showed any result"
That's not true. You may want your healing to speed up, by happy, forget, whatever.
I totally understand that & I wanted the same.
Give yourself some more time & it gets way easier.
But only if you live well & don't let him enter your thoughts as much.
There's a lesson here. And that involves some personal soul searching, if you choose to.
Who you are, what you want, what makes you happy, being grateful & giving.
Be conscious of the things & thoughts that make you feel good, not bad.
Create more good ones. Try to remove the bad ones.
You'll be fine. And better because of all this.
Oh, BTW.
Don't be his friend. Or hang with his.
That'll help.
Im sure you have friends that are on your side.
Support you, right? If not, then remove any & all drama in your life.
Live drama free. Its great.
