How do I add pictures and other file types to my post?
    A. "Attach" files (including pictures) from your computer. This method puts the attached file below the text of the post.
Click on an Ask or Answer button to ask or answer a question
Compose your question or answer in the window.
Under the window where you composed your question or answer is a section called Additional Options.
Click on the Manage Attachments button: a pop-up dialog will open. NOTE: The Manage Attachments dialog lists the maximum sizes of the various types of files that may be attached.
Click the Browse button to navigate to the image on your computer and double click the file on your computer: this will return you to the dialog window.
    Click the Upload button.
Click the link to close the dialog window OR repeat numbers 5 & 6 to attach another image.
    B. "Embed" image(s) from the internet. This method inserts an image wherever you wish within the text of your post.
Click the Insert Image icon above the posting window: A pop-up asking for the URL will open.
Enter the URL of the image in the field then click the OK button.

I did that several times and it didn't take. I'll try again.

Sorry I'm new to this site and have already hurt some feelings. I'm a service repair plumber in Sacramento,Ca.hoping to see if anybody has seen a particular shower valve because my boss went to a call and didn't bother to take pictures of the failed part, just the face.I'm having some trouble uploading the picture.
    https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i....2&disp=thd&zw

Here is the URL to the picture from the email that was sent to me.I save file to my computer and uploaded it using the "Want to add an attachment?" down below, but it not showing up or is being blocked.

    Hi Plumb

Sorry, but your picture will not upload... even from the gmail... *UGH*.

Try popping over to the HOME PAGE on this site and see if you can link up to the forum help. Here, you are using the new screen format and uploading a picture can be a little tougher. I don't use the new screen format so can't really help you on that, OK?

Find the forum help and they should be able to tell you how to upload a pic. Pretty quick.

Once we see the pic. we'll see what we can think of, OK?

    Hey Plumb382,
Your link took me to a Google site where I was asked to sign up for G-Mail. Try again. Good luck. Tom

There is a size limitation on pictures. Convert the file to JPEG before up loading.

    Plumb382
I wonder if I could get an explanation for the negative comment you gave me.

You can't seem to successfully up load a picture to this site. I have up loaded hundreds. I advise you that there is a file size limitation. I suggest that you change the file format to JPEG because that is the most compact format and that might be the problem and you post a negative comment.

    Forgive for trying to help.

Sorry not negative just not helpful only because I've done the obvious already.I saved the file from my email to my computer as a jpeg and checked the file size limit and followed all the other steps that it asked for and it still is not saving the attachment.I had no problem uploading my photo in my profile. It doesn't attach when I close the dialog box.Anyway something isn't right.

It appears to be Price Pfister "Pasadena" series trim. However, there are manufacturers that copy designs of good-selling faucets, like Home Depot's line "Pegasus". I suggest you look for logo. Should be stamped somewhere on the trim. Or, close water, take the trim off and remove cartridge. Take photo of the cartridge and post it for us. Back to you. Milo
