    Refinishing my basement.
I am in the procces of refinishing my basement, should I use steel studs? I had a mold issue because of water damage. I bleached the cement walls and I'm ready to drylock the walls.

What caused the water damage? Flood, broken pipe, under ground spring?

Have u corrected the problem that caused water damage?

The installation of metal studding is easier then wood because u using track to mount the studs. The cutting does not have to be as accurate and if get wet will not absorb water.

One of the problems with metal studding is installing doors and mounting trim. Can not use nails. There is a screw made that is called a trimming screw. Need to predrill to keep from splitting trim.
