    Inheritance tax question
    I am about to inherit approximately 100,000 dollars from my father. He passed away in Florida,I live in Ohio. Do I have to pay any taxes on this? There will be some checks from life insurance,other cash sources. This is all so overwhelming at this time. Please help.

    Sorry for your loss. No, you do not need to pay any taxes on the inheritance. There is no federal inheritance tax nor does OH have an inheritance tax.

    Agreed, also if the life insurance is directly to you, it is not part of the estate either.
