For the past 24 hours I have been spotting brown discharge. It started at light brown discharge with white discharge and as it's continued, it has gotten darker. I am also having mild cramping and discomfort. I am sexually active with my boyfriend of almost 3 years and up until the past 2 weeks we used condoms then decided to use this contraceptive gel that we have used in the past to prevent pregnancy, so I'm not too worried about being pregnant. And I highly doubt it's an STD because we have only had sex with each other, plus I know he has not cheated because he is a gentlemen and doesn't believe in cheating. So I'm lost as to what could be causing this discharge a week before my period instead of after my period.
