    Brown water in tub
I have a 1960's house. The water in the tub runs brown... cold water/hot water... doesn't matter. I can run the water for 10 - 15 minutes and it doesn't get any better. Do I need to change out the pipes?

Well I got an email last night saying that someone had posted an answer to this question, but when I came to the site, there was no answer there. Someone posted a question in FAQ about this same thing and the answer was that usually the email saying that the question was answered is generated before the answer actually posts. Well here it is the next day and still nothing?

I found your answer and it was Milo asking the same question. I also found duplicate post which I deleted.
Answer Milo and I have a question of my own.
What material are your water pipes?
    Copper or galvanized?
    Let me know,Tom

Well I thought I already answered this.. my apologies if this is redundant. I am on city water and have galvanized pipes... an assumption, because we haven't changed them and I don't believe any of the previous owners did either.
