    Multiple Medical Issues
I have multiple non-specific medical problems which are ruining my life and affecting my employment. I suffer from severe migrains, multple upper respiratory infections, severe fatigue and uncontrollable sweating from my head and face to the point that my hair is drenched and sweat drips from my head and face onto my clothing, glasses and work surface. A few years ago I had a cancerous lesion in my genital area which was subsequently removed. As a result of this surgery I developed MRSA, then C-Dif as a side effect of the IV antibiotics to treat the MRSA. I have not been able to bring myself to have another pelvic exam or PAP smear since that time. I either have diarrhea or am so constipated that my bowels simply will not move until the next about of diarrhea. At some time during this period, it was determined that my calcium level was extremely high which resulted in parathyroid surgery and the removal of two very large parathyroid glands, the third one they could not locate and the fourth was deemed normal. It was also determined that I had growths on my adrenal glands, for which I have received no treatment. I guess I should add that in 1981 or 1982 I broke my neck, fracturing off the odontoid process. Since that time I have endured three more back and neck surgeries which have left me with limited movement, chronic pain and serious depression. I also suffer from fibromyalgia which has exacerbated the depression. It is not that I don't trust my physician. I like and respect him a great deal and believe that he is doing the best that he can in our small town which has limited resources. My insurance makes it very difficult to access outside resources. My father had lung cancer, my grndmother had bladder cancer and my father's sister is curretly battling stage 4 lung cancer, so cancer is always in the back of my mind. I have been off work since last Wednesday with an infection and other assorted symptoms and am worried about my job since I have not had FMLA leave approved at this point. I realize I have a lot of issues; however, I really need some advice.

Please rspond to my inquiry as soon as possible as I am feeling very desperate at this point.

    Sincerely,

    K

In all honestly you need advice from your doctor. They are going to be the best person to advise you. Do you have a union rep or occupational health worker you can discuss your concerns with about your health and the impact on your work?
