I am 26 year old man, and I have been masturbating for a long time. Is it harmful?

O no... masturbation has no effect at all, on your body or mind. It is a myth, which stands busted, in the light of latest discoveries, experiments, observations and surveys, all of which have proved that pre-marriage masturbation or post-marriage masturabation has literally no effect on marriage, physially or mentally, until and unless you, yourself feel guilty, which will lead to loss of self-esteem, dear. Do not worry, nothing happens, rather it provides tons of relief, pleasure and satisfaction.

However, in case one's wife learns that his husband is masturabating, it can irritate her, as she will start thinking that either she is not good enough to satisfy him, or that her husband is very sex-obsessive. But, mind you, even after marriage, if one wants to masturbate, due to any reason, e.g. wife being away, or not available mentally or physically for company (read sexual gratification), nothing is wrong, and the whole world does so, before and even after marriage.

It doesn't cause him any more problems than it does if you do it to yourself.

Unless of course its 5 or 10 times a day, then there might be an issue.

Either he is mocking at OP, or I failed to read between the lines!
Even as masturbation is not bad at all, one should socialize, should involve himself in other works, tasks, business or in his passions so that the mind is not always pre-occupied with sexual urge motivators.

Still, that person is not a loser. Nothing wrong, tell him. No need to worry, dear. Have fun and enjoy, what this life is for!

Exactly my point of 5 or more times a day... any more than once or twice a day... and it would appear to be at least becoming an obsession which is clearly not good either.

I'm definitely with you on they should have plenty of other distractions that are far more important.

All things in moderation...

There are many people however that actually believe the other person should never ever do it, or that if they do it's a problem with them. Neither of which are good or healthy to believe.

It depends... are we talking once or twice a day, or so much you are developing callouses or blisters?

Once or twice is normal... if its more or a LOT more... then there are other issues that aren't healthy.

I agree with you SMOOTHY, and its really something, which one must take care of, as doing it >5 a day is really going to 'eat' not only a lot of your time, first in making the mood, then to find a lonely/hidden corner and then imagining or making a picture of some 'motivator' and then doing it finally, and repeating it over and over again, will make you a lonely, sex-obsessive and penis-centred, if not self-centred, person. And, what is the gain?

Momentary satisfaction!

Do it, dear, but once a while. And, believe me, your health is not going to be hurt in ANY case. NEVER. I hope you got my point. And, Smoothy, thanks to you, too!
