    Bank of america $5.00 fee for using your debit card. Does that apply also to your Bank of America
    Visa credit card too?

    No, it shouldn't.
    Get a checking account locally (find one that is free) and it will come with a debit card (find one that is free).
    With a little research, you can use cards and checking with no fees at all. I do.
