    Accountants charge a fee for providing an external Audit. This is revenue to the Accountant.

Just acquired a company and have to prepare a closing balance sheet. The auditor conducting the audit who will also prepare the closing balance sheet is charging a fee. Should the fees be charged to old company (seller) or new company (buyer)?
