So my boyfriend and I have an age difference.. I'm 19 ( turned it this year) and he's 17 (turning 18 within a few weeks). My birthday is in March, and his in October, so we're around One year, and 8 months apart. Is that bad/ wrong to have a boyfriend with this kind of age difference? I've had some people tell me in to old for him, and he's to old for me.. blah blah blah. But we BOTH beg to differ.. So what do you think? Yes its bad? No?

I would stop worrying and enjoy the time together. That you get along and are happy with each other is good enough.

There is not much of an age difference at all for it to be bad or weird. The answer it is not bad. Actually stop listening to what other people are thinking and please just enjoy getting to know each other. Enjoy each others company. The rest of the people outside of this relationship should mind their own business.

I agree that it isn't much of an age difference. The only way I could see it being a problem is if his parents are some of the people who aren't supporting the relationship. When he turns 18, that won't be much of an issue anyway unless he will still be living under their roof.

I could see an problem later if he is just graduating from High School and will be going away to college or the military, but that has nothing to do with age.

Assuming his parents are okay with the relationship: If the two of you can communicate and are secure in the relationship, have fun.
