    Remote ceiling fan help
I am replacing a ceiling fan with one switch with a ceiling fan with a remote. I have 2 wires coming out of my ceiling box each are 1 black and 1 wire. My remote has a black and white to attach to power, then it has a black, white and blue to go to the fan. How do I wire this so the switch will shut it all off, but with switch on I can operate fan with remote?

Just connect the black from the box to the black for power and the white from box to the white for power. This gives you power from your wall switch. Wires going to fan= connect black to black for fan, blue to blue for light and white to white.
