Problems with period?
My girl friend is having issues with her period. The last 3 months her period has lasted two weeks. The first week she has been having spotty brown streaks when she wipes and cramping. The second week she has her normal period ( usual week for her period).
3 months ago she did miss a day on her birth control pills. She has been taking the same ones for the last seven years. She was wondering if it would make sense to stop after her period for a week to reset her hormones. Also should we be worried about something more than just messed up birth control pills? Some girls can't handle some birth contol. I know I can't have the shot I had mine of 3 weeks on it =( But the brown blood is not good. It can be a sign or something ealse being wrond. Brown blood normaly means old blood and is she sure is is blood and not a discharge? I hate to say it but she might want to get tested for STDs and go to a doctor for further examinations. Hope I was some what of a help
