Half Portuguese and Half Filipino, applying for Portuguese passport
I'm a half Filipino and half Portuguese, my father being Portuguese.
Him and my mother never married however they were together for 8 years then separated. I do not hold the Portuguese passport since my father refused to give me the nationality legally, so currently hold the Filipino passport. I am now 18 and realized that I have my rights to obtain the nationality, I have been asking my father for the nationality for the fast 5 years now and now that I am legal I want to act on the process myself since he refuses to give it to me. I live with my mum and very little contact with my dad. I'm familiar with my family on my fathers side in Portugal and they believe I should apply for myself if still continues to refuse to give me the nationality.
My question is, is there any possible way for me to obtain the nationality by myself with the appropriate documents.
