    Penelty charged from shop for shoplifting
    Hi,
    I caught for shoplifting and court give me diversion with withdraw case few days ago. The attorney from the shop asked me to pay 700$ panely under ontario civil act.Do I need to pay or just ignore it.

    Please let me know soon.

    The civil payment has nothing to do with the court payment. By Canada law you are suppose to pay it
