    Allergies in bronchial tubes?
Is it possible that I have some tissue that responds to allergens in my trachea/bronchial tree? I have had mucus in my throat that makes me clear my throat all day for the past year. I am 24. I take zyrtec and it provides relief for about 18 hours.
There's something about coughing all the time you lose focus on life. It causes panic attacks during stressful days. Ill have anhydrosis real bad and feel dizzy towards the end of most days. I feel like I have a lump in my throat on most occasions.
My thoughts are I could have aspirated something. U used to dip for 5 years and I might have pieces stuck in trachea? I live in Houston, and the air is dirty. Perhaps Im allergic to it? Perhaps it's a metaplasia in my trachea that is secreting all this mucus? Perhaps it is just stress and all in my head since I cannot have a day without coughing and clearing my throat? I need answers...

You live in an area that has experienced a lot of severe dust storms coming over from the Phoenix area and also a severe drought situation which causes more dust and dirt particles to be in the immediate atmosphere. I live in Ohio and I wake up every morning with itchy eyes and a sore throat since early last year. I'm currently taking an antihistime pill when I wake up and drinking hot coffee and in an hour or so I'm just fine.

You are very sensitive to the fine particles in the air. I had my lungs permanently damaged when I went through a house fire in which I suffered intense smoke inhalation (I almost died) and my doctor said I'd have lung problems the rest of my life and that was over 45 years ago. I am constantly clearing my throat all day as well. It's basically a post nasal drip in action here that's doing it to both you and me. I can almost predict my symptoms when I see the pollution level is going to be high the next day. I have a HEPA air cleaner on 24/7 in my house and that does help a little. I would keep one on in my BR but I can't stand the noise. You may be able to gain some benefits by using one as well.
