What kind of employee are you?

(Exempt / Non-exempt); (Salary / hourly?) Base with commission? And, what state are you in?

Its per diem and that means by the day so your question actually reads 35.00 a day by the day. No matter, I know what you meant. Yes, taxes come out of your whole amount. Bonus and per diem wages are both taxed.

The reason I was asking about what type of employee you are is the 15th payment date.

If you are hourly, and that amount you are being paid is all of your salary, it should be paid no later than every two weeks, not monthly.

If you are salaried/exempt, or if the amount being paid on the 15th is commission, then it doesn't matter.
