well it's only one guy but basically what I'm trying to say if I need help talking to this guy I like. I'm 14 and never dated anyone before so I am a little confused where to start. All of my friends have gotten boyfriends before me but it didn't really bother me until now. I'm shy and don't have a whole lot of friends. If I don't know you it's really hard for me to try to talk to you especially since nobody talks to me. If I want to talk I have to go out of my way to do it which is really hard for some reason. About this guy. I think I have seen him in middle school but now I like him for like no reason I just do. He isn't in any of my classes but we are in the same lunch I think but I am not sure where he goes ans sometimes I see him between classes. How can I draw his attention to me. I know he isn't going to randomly start talking to me but how can I randomly start to talk to him without you know with out the random. I think some of his friends are in some of my classes and it really freaks me out. I don't want to tell them I like him if he doesn't like me or something. You know what I am saying? How can we talk like all those other couples do? How do couples get started? Please help me and give me FULL detail PLEASE!

Hey skylight, here's the thing. You've got to work through your fears and just start talking. The truth is this is probably not going to be the last guy you talk too. So if you can look at this as getting experience as opposed to giving him all this value and making him more important than he is it will help you ease the nerves.

But here's the thing, if he rejects you there are 3 billion other guys on the planet. He's just one guy.

Okay that being said do you know if he has any hobbies that you share? If so try setting something up where you need his "expertise" and that will get you talking. If he plays sports just walk up and tell him he did a good job at the last game. That will get him talking. Here's an idea that might be a little off the way but you could just walk up to him and say "why do you think I'm shy and someone like you can talk to anyone?" That lets him know your shy, it's not coming on to him, but it forces him to think and give you an answer.

sharing a common interest. Through the drama club, classes, thorugh friends. Since you do not have any of these with him, you will have to start randomly. Casually ask him the time when you see him in the hall. Try to make frenz with his frenz, ask them questions related to class like "wha is the h.w?" or "what did u get on the test?" wear something cute and make eye contact with him. Find out if he's on any teams, go see the game and say "great game" . These are examples. It is really hard tostar talking when you aren't in classes or clubs with him. Just try your best to randonly start a conversation, and see where it goes.
